Once you have successfully completed all of the requirements for your certificate, you may log in to the Certificate Tracker and Request Form to request your certificate. You will confirm the courses that you will apply toward the certificate and submit your request. After your request is reviewed, approved, and awarded you will receive information about how to access your electronic certificate through our certified electronic credentials site.

Please note that once you have applied courses toward one certificate, they can no longer count toward another certificate. (Courses applied toward a graduate certificate, however, can be counted toward a related microcertificate.) Once a certificate has been awarded, no adjustments can be made.

You must request your certificate within 30 days of the release of your final grade in your last certificate course (see calendar for dates). If you request your certificate after this deadline, it won’t be awarded until the next awarding cycle, which is at the end of the subsequent semester. Requests submitted more than one year after completing the last course must be accompanied by a petition to the Harvard Extension School Administrative Board explaining the reason for the delay.

The certificate, along with the courses and the grades, are noted on your official Harvard Extension School transcript.
