My interests include bridging academia and industry, focusing on diversity in applied learning, and pioneering strategic partnerships for curriculum advancement.
What can students expect to learn from your course(s)?
In my courses, students can expect to learn not just the theoretical underpinnings of data science and computer science but also their practical applications in real-world scenarios. I emphasize hands-on learning experiences, ethical considerations in technology, and the role of technology in addressing social challenges. Students will be equipped with skills in data analysis, AI, and strategic thinking, ready to apply these in diverse professional settings.
What do you enjoy most about teaching at Harvard Extension School?
The most rewarding aspect of teaching at HES is the opportunity to interact with a diverse and driven student body. The school’s unique model allows me to reach both traditional and non-traditional students, each bringing a unique perspective to the classroom. I thrive on facilitating their journey towards personal and professional growth, leveraging my experience in both academia and industry.
What advice would you give students interested in taking your courses or returning to school as an adult student?
For those interested in my courses or returning to school, I advise embracing the learning experience with an open mind and a commitment to apply your knowledge practically. Leverage the diverse resources and networks available, and don’t shy away from challenging yourself. Remember, the journey back to education as an adult is not just about gaining skills but also about personal transformation and empowerment.
