Hamilton holds a graduate certificate in marketing management and is currently pursuing his second certificate in biology. Here’s what he had to say about his Harvard Extension experience:
“I enrolled in HES because I wanted to improve my skills and further my career. I was working full time with a baby on the way, and an on-campus education was not a practical option. I researched several programs, but the Harvard pedigree, plus flexibility of programs, was what won me over. The experience has been challenging and rewarding.
I take a lot of pride that I am still developing at age 37 while most traditional education stops at 21. I currently work in laboratory science sales where I cover 15 states and interact with 100+ distributor contacts weekly. My first graduate certificate in marketing management improved my problem-solving and business development skills. The biology certificate is equipping me with a general life science background, bridging my business background with the life science industry that I work in.
If someone told me in high school that I would complete a Harvard program, I would not have believed them. But you know what, big goals are attainable when they are broken down into smaller pieces. One course at a time, one assignment at a time, one question at a time. Keep that pace, and you will be amazed what you can accomplish. You can do it!”
