U.S. immigration updates: A federal court has granted Harvard’s motion for a temporary restraining order halting enforcement of the June 4 presidential proclamation while our case proceeds. The court also extended its previous order, stopping the federal government from revoking Harvard’s Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) certification. A hearing has been scheduled for June 16.

About Kwartler

Kwartler is an instructor at Harvard Extension School and the author of the books Text Mining in Practice with R, Sports Analytics in Practice with R, and Applied Sport Business Analytics.

Kwartler has four courses on DataCamp. He has worked at Amazon and Liberty Mutual Insurance and was an early employee at the start-up DataRobot, where he served as the field chief technology officer focused on generative artificial intelligence (AI) and large language models.

Currently, Kwartler is a managing director at Accenture, leading the firm’s North American Responsible AI practice, applying data science best practices among many differing use cases and industries.

Kwartler holds an MBA from the University of Notre Dame with a concentration in marketing analytics.
