Prerequisite Knowledge
Introductory statistics is recommended. Some courses require calculus and linear algebra. Business experience is a plus.
If you have a solid foundation in statistics, you may take an additional data analytics elective (for a total of three) in place of the introductory course option. If you have a limited statistical background, you should begin with an introductory course.
Build a Stackable Credential Pathway
Stackable credential pathways allow you to earn multiple credentials by completing courses that meet overlapping requirements. In the short term, you can earn a micro or graduate certificate. Once completed, those courses may count toward a master’s degree.
You can:
- Stack the Data Modeling and Ethics Microcertificate into the Data Analytics Graduate Certificate.
- Stack the Data Analytics Graduate Certificate into either a master’s degree in finance or a master’s degree in systems engineering.
Stackable pathways offer an efficient, cost-effective way to earn short-term credentials to help fill immediate skill gaps and acquire specialized knowledge while building a foundation for long-term success that showcases your expertise in the field.
