Invest in your continued education and development through the Tuition Assistance Program (TAP)

What is TAP?
The Tuition Assistance Program provides financial support for employees who wish to take classes at participating Harvard schools, including Harvard Extension School.
You can use TAP to pursue an undergraduate or graduate degree or certificate, or to take a single course.
Who is eligible?
TAP is available to active Harvard employees in a paid benefits-eligible position on Harvard’s regular payroll who are in an eligible employee classification and meet the minimum required hours.
How much of the cost does it cover?
At Harvard Extension School, employees using their TAP benefits pay a non-refundable $40 TAP fee per course. All other tuition costs are covered by TAP funding.
Some courses, such as Active Learning Weekends and Labs, have other fees associated.

I’ve held several other various roles at DCE over my 25 years here, each one seemed to come on the heels of either a degree, certificate or certification that DCE supported me in earning.

I also must mention how pure FUN it can be to take advantage of the TAP Benefit. After finishing my certificate, I decided to take an ‘Acting Shakespeare’ course just for fun and personal enrichment – I’ve always loved Shakespeare but had never performed the bard’s words before.

The Harvard University TAP benefits have given me a valuable opportunity to formally develop expertise in a field I am passionate about but might not have otherwise had access to.
