U.S. immigration updates: The University is aware of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security order to terminate Harvard’s Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) certification for the 2025-26 academic year. Harvard is committed to maintaining our ability to host our international students and scholars, who hail from more than 140 countries and enrich the University and this nation. More information and updates will be provided as they become available.

All students participating in May Commencement Ceremonies are required to wear the official Harvard regalia, as approved by The Harvard University Commencement Office.

Pre-registered regalia ordering is now closed.

The deadline to order regalia online from the Harvard Coop was Tuesday, April 29, 2025.

Regalia Accessories

The only regalia accessories endorsed for Harvard University’s Commencement Exercises, including the HES Commencement Ceremony, are University-provided regalia accessories (such as a pin, tassel, cord, etc.). No regalia accessories can be created by students or student-run organizations. Those who attempt to sell unapproved academic regalia — including stoles, pins, tassels, cords, etc. — may face exclusion from Harvard commencement events.

Please be advised that graduates who wear regalia accessories not provided by the University must remove these before participating in all Harvard Commencement events.
