Resources and Benefits

By registering for a class in the Extension School, you become eligible for many Harvard benefits and resources.

Computer and Research Tools

The computer facilities at 53 Church Street and the Grossman Library allow you to utilize hundreds of the latest programs and tools to get projects—large and small—done on time.

You can also take advantage of some Harvard library benefits, from the use of resources at the Grossman Library to the availability of more than 3,000 electronic databases and journals through the Harvard Libraries Portal.

Academic Aid

Beyond books and articles, you can also find the Writing Center in Grossman Library. The Writing Center is a great place to get assistance with your coursework, find out answers to grammar questions, work on structuring an essay, and get feedback on a thesis.

If you need help with problems of a different nature, then check out the Math Question Center in Sever Hall, available to students in a range of math classes.

Career Advice

The Career and Academic Resource Center (CARC) can help you build your study skills or your résumé. Find job postings, attend free workshops, and get help preparing for graduate school and beyond.

Community

You can also take advantage of the many Harvard Chaplains on campus, representing 26 of the world’s religious traditions.

If you also want to learn outside the classroom and in a social setting, you can attend lectures and events all year long sponsored by the Harvard Extension Alumni Association (HEAA), the Harvard Institute for Learning in Retirement (HILR), and the Harvard Extension Student Association (HESA). From green marketing to Faustian irony and Shakespeare, these events and lectures are sure to enrich your learning experience and your life.

For other events around campus, see Extension School News and the Harvard Gazette's event calendar.
